1498780 Tennis rackets F W REEDHEAD R E REEDHEAD and G W REYNOLDS 2 Aug 1976 [28 Aug 1975] 32108/76 Heading A6D A tennis racket has a head comprising spaced parallel tubular frame members 6, 8 interconnected by pins 14/16 bearing pulleys 30 over which the stringing passes, the tension of the strings being adjustable by screwthreaded means, Fig. 3 (not shown), in the racket handle, which means are actuatable to adjust the axial position of rod 40 mounting pulleys for two loops 46 of the stringing. The frame members may be of aluminium, magnesium or alloys thereof. The stringing may be of wire, nylon or gut and may comprise an endless strand. Each transverse or longitudinal strand may pass over and under successive longitudinal or transverse strands. Alternatively, all the longitudinal strands may constitute one face of the string- ing and all the transverse strands may constitute the other face.
