Abstract
The composition contains silicates which are capable of binding the hardness formers in the water, are finely divided, are insoluble in water, have a calcium-binding capacity of at least 50 mg of CaO/g of anhydrous active substance and contain bound water and which have the general formula (cat2/nO)x.Me2O3.(SiO2)y, in which cat is a cation which can exchange with calcium and has n charges, x is a number from 0.7 to 1.5, Me is boron or aluminium and y is a number from 0.8 to 6, as phosphate substitute. To improve the wash efficiency, the composition furthermore contains a surfactant component comprising 1 part by weight of one or more surfactants from the group of surface-active amine oxides, carboxy betaines, sulpho betaines and fatty alcohol polyglycol ether sulphates and up to 3 parts by weight of anionic sulphonate surfactants, soaps and/or ethoxylated aliphatic C10-C20-alcohols with cloud points above 50 DEG C.
