Abstract

A material comprising three components: a) 100 parts by weight of a polymer blend of 20 to 70 % of an unvulcanised saturated or unsaturated polyolefin rubber and 80 to 30 % of a polyisobutylene having an average molecular weight (@v) below 500 000, b) 10 to 40 parts by weight of an alkylphenol novolak (novolac) having at least 8 carbon atoms in the alkyl group, and c) 20 to 50 parts by weight of one or more fillers with or without processing and compounding aids and antioxidants, is suitable for adhering (adhesively bonding together) vulcanised articles made of saturated or unsaturated polyolefin rubbers.
