Abstract

1498277 Hydraulic conveying CONTINENTAL OIL CO 5 March 1975 [15 May 1974] 9196/75 Heading F1R [Also in Division F2] In a slurry transporting system in a mine, comprising flexible hoses 20 supported on interconnected carts to which are caused by an elevating conveyer 46 to form a bend in the hoses, the conveyer is supported on a vehicle 54 comprising platform 56 on support carts 64, 66 moveable along guides 76. The cart 64 as shown has winch means 90 and a cable 102 for attachment to an anchor point in the mine for moving the cart. Other means may be provided. As shown in Fig. 1, the hoses carry water to and slurry away from a mining machine slurry station 15 which moves with the machine 10. The movement of the hoses 20 is accommodated by movement of the vehicle 54 which may be automatically controlled. Various guide rail arrangements are described for the carts 64, 66 including the use of fixed pipe lines leading from the relay station 26. Figs. 7, 8 (not shown).
