Abstract

1497833 Screening apparatus ROTEX INC 23 May 1975 [31 May 1974] 22781/75 Headings BID and B2H A vibratory screening apparatus comprises a screen assembly 35 and a frame 13 mounted for vibrational movement with respect to a base 11, a layer 60 of rigid inelastic composite friction material e.g. material of the type used as brake linings or clutch pads, being interposed between the assembly 35 and the frame 13. The screen assembly 35 may comprise a top cover 36, a bottom pan 39 and a screen 37 positioned between the two by means of a rubber gasket 38. The assembly 35 is clamped to the frame 13 by means of clamps 50, the layer 60 preventing any lateral movement of the assembly relative to the frame. The frame 13 is supported on the base 11 by coil springs 16 and is vibrated by means of an eccentric weight 22 rotated by a motor 19 via belts 26.
