Abstract

149,771. Flack, A. M. May 19, 1919. Building-blocks.-Relates to a constructional toy comprising unit blocks or bricks a, each of which is in proportion to an ordinary brick, fractions c, or multiples d of such bricks, having holes thereon through which rods k are passed to lock the components together. The invention consists in using in combination with such bricks shaped components representing chimney pots g, fireplaces, doors i, arches f, and other parts, all of which bear a definite relation to the unit block and are pierced with holes to receive the rods k. Slabs to form floors, pathways, and the like, and plates hinged together or flanged for forming roofs, may be employed. The bricks are preferably made from a wax composition having a relatively high melting point which is melted and cast in a brass mould. The rods k may be made by pressing soft wood, such as white pine, through a die plate.
