1497654 Vehicle headlamps WESTFALISCHE METALL INDUSTRIE KG HUECK & CO 22 March 1976 [24 April 1975 ] 11526/76 Addition to 1471569 Heading F4R A vehicle headlamp comprises a lamp bulb within an enclosed space formed by an outer housing, a lamp glass at the front of the housing and a closure cap at the rear of the housing, the space communicating with the exterior by a duct adapted to maintain the air pressure at its inner end equal to the ambient pressure at its outer end, the duct having a minimum transverse cross-section of 40 square mm. and being formed without capillary passages. The duct is preferably in the form of an annular trough extending around the closure cap and sealed at its open side by a packing ring clamped between the cap and the housing. The highest point of the trough is in communication with the space and the lowest point with the exterior.
