1495973 Haymaking machines TEXAS INDUSTRIES Inc 12 Dec 1974 [12 Dec 1973] 53827/74 Heading A1F In a haymaking machine having at least one rake member rotatable about a vertical axis each tine support 63 is attached to a central hub 64 by three chains 73, 74, 75 such that upon rotation of the rake member the tine supports 63 can move upwardly and downwardly or radially inwards. The leading end of each tine support 63, with respect to the direction of rotation B, has the chain 73 connecting it to a lower portion 69 and the chain 74 connecting it to an upper portion 66 of the central hub 64 while the trailing portion of the tine support 63 is attached to a movable ring 70, by the chain 75, which is located between the upper and lower portions of the hub 64. The ring 70 can be angularly adjusted, relative to the remainder of the hub 64 such that the operational position of the tine support 63 can be adjusted radially (Fig. 2 dotted lines). Tines 76 attached to the supports 63 are therefore movable from a tedding to a swathe forming position (FULL TO DOTTED LINES). The tines 76 are pivotable about a pivot pin 78 but are held in the working position by a bend 79 abutting the internal wall of the tine support 63. Two crops guides each individually pivotable about horizontal pivots can form swathes (Fig. 1 not shown).
