1495681 Wire coiling apparatus FRIEDRICH KOCKS GmbH & CO 20 March 1975 [13 April 1974] 11581/75 Heading DIT A wire coiling apparatus Fig. 1 of the kind in which wire is deposited by guide means 9 onto a table 1 that is rotatable about a vertical axis 3, the edge resion of the table 1 carrying upstanding retaining rods 2 or a cylinder to surround the deposited coil, is characterised in that on the table 1 is a transfer plate 7 that can be moved along the axis 3 away from the table 1, the apparatus being tiltable through 90‹ to a horizontal setting Fig. 2 so that the deposited coil can be displaced axially by the transfer plate 7 onto a C-shaped hook 17. The apparatus tilts about the axis of the motor 4 that is used to rotate the table 1. One or more catch hooks 21 prevent the uppermost turns from spilling out whilst the apparatus is tilted into the horizontal setting shown in Fig. 2, there catches 21 being swung to an inoperative position prior to the coil being pushed onto the C-shaped hook 17. The guide rods 8 that are also secured to the table 1 act as guides for the sliding transfer plate 7 and as interior retaining rods for the coil being formed.
