1495512 Pigment / polymer preparations DEUTSCHE GOLD - UND SILBER SCHEIDEANSTALT 5 Nov 1974 [7 Nov 1973] 47764/74 Headings C3P and C3R A pigment preparation is made, from a dispersion of a pigment (P) in a solution of a polymer (R) in a solvent (S), by (1) adding a liquid (L) being a non-solvent for (R) with thorough mixing, (2) separating off the precipitate, and (3) drying, where steps (1) and (2) are performed at room temperature. (P) is carbon black optionally mixed with an Fe(II), Fe(III)-cyano complex; (R) is a vinyl or vinylidene chloride copolymer, polyacrylonitrile, or polyamide, poly-(ether or ester)urethane; (S) is a ketone, dimethylformamide, an optionally aqueous alcohol, and/or an ester; and (L) is water or a hydrocarbon. Uses.-In lacquers, printing ink, or plastics.
