1493370 Combined hot plate and flow heater WIGO GOTTLOB WIDMANN & SOHNE KG 23 Dec 1974 [6 Aug 1974] 55581/74 Heading H5H In a hot plate for a coffee percolator comprising a support surface a for a pot b beneath which is a plate-like continuous flow heater c having a horizontally extending water conduit d heated by a coextensive tubular resistance heater e which is in good thermal contact therewith, the cross-sectional area of the conduit d increases from the inlet d 1 to the outlet d 2 and the upper boundary surface f of the conduit rises continuously from the inlet d 1 to the outlet d 2 so that bubbles of steam may escape readily from the outlet d 2 . Hot water from outlet d 2 is delivered by a riser to a coffee filter on coffee pot b.
