Abstract

1491787 Mounting material distribution booms P DEMARET 29 Oct 1975 [30 Oct 1974] 44669/75 Heading AID The frame 3 of a distribution boom 1 for liquids or solids is mounted on a vehicle by an anti-roll mechanism designed to reduce undesirable movement of the boom when working on slopes or irregular surfaces, wherein the mechanism includes two pairs of connecting rods 5, 6 and 10, 11 respectively contained in vertical planes and forming the non-parallel sides of two trapeziums having a member 9 as their shared base. A member 19 is rigidly fastened to the vehicle frame 21 but the connecting rods are pivotably connected to members 3a, 9 and 19, Alternative positions for the connecting rods are shown in broken lines and attachment points 26, 28, 30, 32 may be moved on a slide by a worm or a hydraulic drive.
