Abstract

The spray bar (10) is used with tractors or self-propelled vehicles in the agricultural field. It is suspended by a combination of vertical and inclined tie bars. The system is designed to maintain the bar parallel to the ground surface being treated, the inclined ties being orientated to resist forces in three dimensions. Vertical suspenders (34 36) governing the bar elevation are sited in the central bar zone and the inclined ties in symmetrical transversely offset positions. Alternative arrangements may use two tiers (38, 40) and (42 44) of inclined ties, aligning in horizontal and vertical planes respectively, and requiring the use of an intermediate beam (46) between the bar and the main support (12). As a further alternative the two tie tiers may converge on the vertical suspenders.
