Abstract

149,057. Mason, W., and Richardson, J. May 3, 1919. Theft alarms. - If an attempt is made to move a motor-vehicle under power other than its own, a vibrating switch is brought into operation to give an alarm. If the vehicle is moved with the ignition switch in the unset position, the resulting vibration causes a make-and-break switch consisting of a spring- controlled balance - wheel carrying a contact 2<1>, Fig. 4, to supply current interinittently to an electro-magnetic hold-on switch u, t which maintains the circuit through the hooter w and the ignition switch thereby giving an alarm.
