Abstract

1490377 Spray-producers E S BARNES 21 Sept 1976 [30 Sept 1975 5 May 1976] 39995/75 and 18422/76 Heading B2F A spray nozzle for garden hoses comprises a tubular member 11 of circular cross-section of flexible resilient material and an elongated planar member 10 formed of a rigid material inserted into member 11, the planar member being formed of a rigid material and having a rectangular transverse cross-section, the planar member tapering at one end along part of its length from a dimension larger than the inside diameter of the tubular member to a dimension less than the inside diameter so that the end region of the tubular member is expanded and grips the planar member in the region which is larger than the inside diameter. The member 11 may be inserted so that the outer end is flush with the end of member 11. The smaller end of the member 10 may be pointed or rounded. The member 10 may be of rigid plastics or metal, and member 11 may be of rubber or plastics material. The other end of tubular member 11 may be adapted for connection to a garden hose, or may be a hose.
