Abstract

148,935. Brown, H. W., and Alvo Co. March 25, 1918, [Convention date]. Supporting.-A casing 3<a> containing an auxiliary lamp bulb and reflector is connected to the main casing of a vehicular lamp by a strap 53 encircling the main casing and connected to one side of the casing 3<a> by screws and a flanged strip 57 and at the other side by a pin 55 engaging .one of a series of holes 54 in the end of the strap, a clip 56 preventing accidental detachment of the strap from the pin. In addition, a piece 61 having fingers 62 for engaging the front of the main casing is attached to the casing 3a by pins engaging holes in the piece 61 so as to prevent rearward movement of the casing 3<a>, and a hook engaging the chain casing and attached by pins and a perforation to the top of the strap is employed to prevent rearward movement of the strap. A limited tilting movement of the casing 3<a> is effected by a set-screw fitting a bracket on .the casing 3<a> and bearing against the main casing.
