Abstract

1488549 Anti-caking agent UNION MINERALE 27 Oct 1975 [7 Nov 1974] 44098/75 Headings ClA and ClB An anti-caking agent particularly suitable for improving the free flowing properties of granular fertilizers comprises at least 90% of an inorganic filler and no more than 10%, preferably 0À1-5% of a mixture of a fatty alcohol of formula RCH 2 OH where R is 8-24 C hydrocarbon radical and stearylamine. The inorganic filler may be kaolinite, calcium carbonate, kieselguhr or talc. The surface active mixture on the filler preferably consists of 50-80% stearylamine and 20-50% of the fatty alcohol. Oleic, lauryl and stearic alcohols are specified. In the example the anti-caking agent is used to treat a 17, 17, 17 fertilizer.
