Abstract

Fertilizer conditioner for treating granular compound fertilizer and calcium ammonium nitrate, based on beef tallow (70-90% by weight). It is preferred to use tallow derived from leather production.

Claims (2)

The Diinger granules have the property of caking when stored for a long time, especially when they are under pressure. For this purpose, the Diinger granules are finally treated with a conditioning agent in a »1 amount of S 0.1-0.15% in a rotating drum. According to the state of the art, the fertilizer conditioners consist of surface active»! Substances, whereby paraffin wax or spindle oils with paraffin wax mixtures are mostly used as the carrier material. The task of the carrier substance is to ensure a pour point of the fertilizer conditioning agent of approximately 40 ° C. In addition, they themselves already have certain "separating properties". The conditioning agent is sprayed onto the fertilizer in liquefied form (processing temperature is approx. 65 ° C). Experience has shown that a pour point of approx. 40 ° C ensures a good distribution of the conditioning agent on the surface of the Diingerkome. The invention now relates to the use of beef tallow instead of petroleum products. This beef tallow preferably comes from the production of cowhide, where it fills up as a waste product. The 15 beef tallow-based fertilizer conditioning agents produced in accordance with the invention described above are at least on a par with the products based on mineral oil products with anti-caking properties and dust-binding capacity. The advantage, however, lies in the improved ecological compatibility of such products, since beef tallow, as a natural raw material, is more biodegradable than a mineral oil product. In addition, the invention enables the use of the sebum, which is produced as a “waste product” in leather production, and since it is of poor quality, is difficult to use elsewhere. Example: Fertilizer conditioning agent for VoUkomdiingen 25 beef tallow 76.50% fatty amine *) 18.00% Al stearate 0.50% diesel oil 5.00% 30 * primary fatty alkylamines e.g. B. based on beef tallow or fish oil (0 ^^ 22 ^ processing temperature 65 ° C pour point: approx. 40 ° C 35 diesel oil can be omitted, but the processing temperature is then 75 ° C and the pour point 45 ° C. The above product was compared to a product based on mineral oil products in the laboratory tested and assessed as equivalent 40 PATENT CLAIMS 45 1.
