Abstract

1488097 Releasable fastenings HAPPICH GmbH Gebr 14 Feb 1975 [21 Feb 1974] 6375/75 Heading E2B [Also in Division B7] A hand grip, arm rest or like fitting 1 for the interior trim of a vehicle, comprises a key member having a flat stem 3 notched to provide beards or key words 6 and upturned stop lugs 4, and a keyhole 9 is provided in a wall 5 of the vehicle to receive the key member, the keyhole 9 having a central opening 7 having a diameter. slightly larger than the width of the constriction in the stem provided by the notches, inclined ramps 8 being provided at the back of the hole, so that when the stem 3 and beards 6 are passed through the keyhole, until the lugs 4 engage the wall 5 and the fitting 1 is rotated, the beards ride up the ramps to tighten the fitting. In another embodiment the stem is a pin and the beards are integral wing like projections therefrom. In yet another form the stem is on the wall and the keyhole in the fitting.
