Abstract

1487841 Spray carburetters BRITISH LEYLAND UK Ltd 21 April 1975 [26 March 1974] 13250/74 Heading F1H In the carburetter described in Specification 1487381, in which heating means is provided in the air passage 12 adjacent the fuel jet orifice 20 and in good heat exchange relationship with fluid flowing along the air passage downstream of the jet orifice, the heating means comprises an outlet 30a from an air duct 31 having a region 38 in good heat exchange relationship with an engine exhaust gas passage 39 and having an inlet 32 disposed within the air passage and upstream of the jet orifice. The flow of air through the duct 31 is controlled by a valve 34 actuated by a capsule 35 which is connected to the region of depression downstream of the throttle valve 13 via a temperature-responsive valve 37.
