Abstract
1484839 Expanding pulley gear PIV ANTRIEB WERNER REIMERS KG 13 May 1976 [30 May 1975] 19654/76 Heading F2D In a continuously variable belt or chain transmission of the kind in which pairs of levers 11, 12 mounted between their ends on adjustable pivots (not shown) and connected to axially movable cone pulley halves of two pulleys on parallel shafts in such manner that the effective pulley diameters are adjusted in opposite senses by rotation of a spindle 34 with threaded parts 36, 37 of opposite hand engaged by blocks 30, 31 pivotally connected at 32, 33 to the levers, adjustable stop means consist of projections 52, 53 adjustably clamped to the block 30 and movable into the paths of radial projections 50, 51 on washers 45, 46 which are adjustably connected to the spindle 34 by cross pins 48, 49. When the blocks 30, 31 are adjusted outwardly the projection 52, which carries a sleeve 58 slidable in a bore in a housing 1, moves into the path of the projection 50, and when the blocks are adjusted inwardly the projection 53, which is connected to the block 30 by an extension tube 54 and carries a sleeve 59, moves into the path of the projection 51. A guide rod 42 fixed in the housing passes through holes in the blocks 30, 31. In a modification the two washers 45, 46 are mounted on the spindle between the two threaded parts 36, 37 and are engaged by projections on members adjustably secured to a pair of rods anchored to one of the blocks and slidable in holes in the other block.
