Abstract

Sheet feeding and guiding arrangements; papershelves.-Means for collating sheets comprises two collating tables, 12, 20 located one above the other at the delivery side of the platen, the-upper table 12 having a front gauge 13 and a side gauge 14 for registering the statement or other outer sheet 11, which is introduced first, together with the carbon paper, and the lower table 20 having side gauges 21 for registering the ledger or other inner sheet, which is subsequently introduced, a passage being left between the upper table and the platen for this purpose. While the second sheet is being introduced, the first sheet may be temporarily held on the table 12 by means such as clips 16. Upper marginal feed-rollers 25 are provided for adjusting the inner sheet into relation with the outer sheet, these, rollers being mounted on arms 25<a> so that they can be cast off when the bottom feed-rollers 15 are required for feeding the collated sheets together. A guide-shoot 19 with side gauges 18 may be associated with the table 20, the side gauges 18 extending around the platen and merging into the side gauges 21 of the table 20.
