Abstract

1482774 Selective signalling ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 31 July 1974 [1 Aug 1973] 33707/74 Heading G4H A plurality of loads are controlled at respective times and signal their states at respective times. In a motor vehicle, a transmitter includes a clock-driven ring counter which scans a plurality of control switches to send respective control pulses on a common line to each of a plurality of receivers. The series of control pulses is preceded by a start pulse of larger amplitude on the same line (or on a separate line) also produced from the ring counter. In each receiver, the start pulse triggers a multivibrator of adjustable period characteristic of the individual receiver. The end of this period is detected by a differentiator to enable a gate to pass a coincident one of the control pulses if present, to switch a load, e.g. lamp. A storage member may be provided to maintain the load switchedon at least until the corresponding point in the next cycle of the ring counter. The differentiator output also passes through a photo-sensitive resistor responsive to the lamp to signal its state back to the transmitter for display on a lamp selected by the output of the corresponding control switch (if actuated).
