1481766 Steam cracking hydrocarbons TEXACO DEVELOPMENT CORP 5 Sept 1975 36564/75 Heading C5E A hydrocarbon charge stream including (i) a C 9+ hydrocarbon component and (ii) an at least partially deisobutanized C 3 -C 5 paraffin stream is thermally steam cracked to form a product stream containing (1) an ethylene fraction and (2) a C 3 -C 4 olefin fraction. The C 3 -C 4 olefin fraction may be used to alkylate an isobutane stream. The C 9+ hydrocarbon component may be gas oil or a cracked gas oil.
