Abstract

1481643 Printing on hollow articles VILLEROY & BOCH KERAMISCHE WERKE KG 19 March 1975 [26 March 1974] 11346/75 Heading B6C Apparatus for decorating the inside of pieces of crockery, such as cups, comprises an inflatable transfer roller 16 which picks up an image 35 from a cylinder 34 is moved into the cup 9 and inflated to transfer the image. The transfer roller 16 and cup 9 are moved perpendicularly to one another by respective pneumatic cylinders 6, 7 and the cup is held on a carriage 5 by a lever-release vacuum. A cam and roller mechanism determines the rotational orientation of the roller 16 at transfer. A sequence switching control governs the working of the apparatus.
