Abstract

148,155. Ohnesorge, O. May 15, 1914, [Convention date]. Winches; driving-gear. - Winding or hauling gear for use in mines, rope railways &c. of the kind described in Specification 148,154 having epicyclic driving- gear for three sheaves, has the epicyclic gear arranged on a countershaft and driving two sheaves. The engine shaft 30 forms a countershaft of the winding gear and carries a planet-pinion carrier 39 which drives one sheave 47 through gearing 40 and shaft 46, and the other sheave 49 through gearing 48. The rope passes over the sheave 47 and thence over a reversing puiley (not shown) to the sheave 49. The sheaves may be of equal or unequal diameters.
