Abstract
1481441 Refrigerators ANTHONYS MFG CO Inc 29 Oct 1974 [11 Feb 1974] 46735/74 Heading F4H [Also in Division G1] The door 10 of a display refrigerator and/or the metal jamb 11 are provided with electrical heating elements which are controlled by a circuit including a relative humidity sensor 26 whereby, when the ambient humidity reaches a predetermined level, the heating elements are switched on to prevent the formation of condensation on a glass panel in the door. The control circuit includes a resistance bridge comprising a resistance variable by the sensor and a manually-variable resistance controlled by a knob 30. As shown, the door includes two spaced panes of glass 12, 14, the pane 12 being coated with a transparent electrically conductive layer for heating the surface of the glass, and the door and the jamb are provided with electrical heating elements 17.
