The female thread 18 which may be on the skirt 16 of head portion H, or bowl B, extends around substantially 360‹. The head portion H and bowl B are in their fully tightened position after substantially one revolution. The male thread 20 may be continuous or discontinuous. The filter may include sealing ring 26.
