Abstract

1481136 Toggle latch DZUS FASTENER CO INC 20 May 1975 [18 June 1974] 21466/75 Heading E2B In a toggle latch 20 for joining together two members the latch comprises a keeper 21 to be mounted on one of the members and a lever assembly 22 to be mounted on the other member. The lever assembly has a bracket 25 having a base 30 and sides 31, 32, an operating-lever 24 which, having side portions 33, 34, is pivotally mounted on the bracket, by a pivot-pin 27 and has a resilient draw-bar 23 which is provided with corrugations 35, has one end pivotally-mounted on the lever 24 by a pivot-pin 26, and has a hooked-end 36 for engagement with the keeper 21. In operation the lever assembly 22 is mounted on a member 28 and the keeper 21 is mounted on the other member to be fastened. The lever 24 is moved to the unlatched position shown in dot-dash lines and the hooked-end 36 engages the keeper 21. The lever 24 is then rotated in the direction B, Fig. 3, to the latched position shown in full lines.
