1480672 Water heaters ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 2 May 1975 [1 Aug 1974] 18333/75 Heading F4A A domestic water heater comprises a combustion chamber 11, a gas or liquid fuel burner 10 comprising a planar array of burner elements, and a serpentine water tube 13 located in fins 12; a thermally insulating lining 17 being mounted on the inside of the combustion chamber walls 15. The lining is a mat or fleece of alumina and silica approx. 10 mm thick and the walls 15 are of sheet steel aluminium plated on both sides. The inside of the lining can be covered with a metal layer which may be thin foil or a rigid element, and the lining is held in position by bent over portions 18, 19 of the walls 15.
