1480328 Transfer printing using microencapsulated dyes DICKINSON ROBINSON GROUP Ltd 6 Sept 1974 [17 Sept 1973] 43601/73 Heading D1B [Also in Division B6] Sheet materials, particularly natural or synthetic textiles are printed upon using a transfer web having an image formed by two or more microencapsulated dyes, or dye precursors which react with a material at the surface of the sheet material, by applying treatment to the superimposed sheet and transfer web across substantially the entire imaged width of the web to rupture the capsules and release the dyes or dye precursors to produce a multicolour image on the sheet material. The treatment may be pressure, heat or solvent action.
