Abstract

1480180 Interconnectors for switch latches NORTHERN TELECOM Ltd 23 Oct 1975 [4 Nov 1974] 43624/75 Heading H1N An interconnector for two multiple pressbutton switch assemblies 10, 11 comprises a frame 15 carrying a member 34 hinged by a rod 33, the member 34 carrying a rod 39 for engagement in slots 14 in extensions 13 of the latch bars of the assemblies 10, 11 so that operation of one latch bar by a press-button simultaneously operates the other latch bar to release any latched switches. A coil spring 40 presses on member 34 to urge the latch bars towards the locking position, permitting the removal of the springs (not shown) normally acting on the latch bars. The frame 15 can be moulded or a metal stamping, while member 34 can also be a metal stamping or can be moulded of plastics material. The interconnector can be used to connect more than two such assemblies.
