1,060,292. Switch fuses. D. O. HAGGLUND. Aug. 13, 1963, No. 31840/63. Heading H2B. A fused electric switch comprises a pivoted contact member (183) co-operating with one contact (42) of a cartridge type fuse (48) and arranged to clamp this fuse contact against a fixed anvil (180). A further, rectilinearly movable contact (16) movable with contact member (183) is arranged to clamp the other fuse contact (36) against another anvil 182. In a multiple arrangement a plurality of fuses (48) are mounted on a carrier (76) slidable in guides (78, 80) to remove the fuses. The parts (36, 42, 182, 183) may have complementary formations to prevent withdrawal of the fuses while the contacts are closed. The switch may be operated electromagnetically or by an electric motor through a worm drive.
