Abstract

1480076 Drying webs BUTTNER-SCHILDE HAAS AG 11 Oct 1974 [12 Oct 1973] 44213/74 Heading F4G A deflected-stream web drier comprises one or a plurality of preferably infra-red gas fired radiators 4 disposed between two or respective pairs of drying gas delivery nozzles 1 respectively, each nozzle being in the form of a slot extending perpendicular to the intended plane of the web to be dried. The two nozzles 1 on each pair of nozzles are formed in a common nozzle box 2, a wall of each nozzle being formed by a wall of the box 2. The intermediate space between the nozzles is several times the width of each slot.
