Abstract
1480046 Gas turbine plant-closed circuit KRAFTWERK UNION AG 25 March 1976 [29 April 1975] 12152/76 Heading F1G [ Also in Division F4] In a turbo-generator set, which may be incorporated in a nuclear power-plant, comprising a compressor 1, a gas turbine 2 and a generator 3, the generator 3 is cooled by helium which passes from a high-pressure tap 9 of the compressor through a cooler 10 to the generator. From the generator, the helium passes through ducts 13, 14 back to the compressor at a region of low pressure, e.g. the compressor inlet duct 5. An exciter set 4 may be cooled in the same way in parallel with the generator through ducts 15, 16.
