1479915 SO 2 and SO 3 removal from gases MONSANTO CO 26 Nov 1974 51151/74 Addition to 1393438 Heading C1A The process of the parent Specification is disclosed, but with variations in (i) the concentration and pH values of the amine solutions used in the gas-scrubbing, (ii) the amount of Ca<SP>++</SP> ions used to precipitate SO 3 <SP>--</SP> as CaSO 3 , and (iii) the pH values of the resultant supernatant liquor, both before and after treatment with Ca(OH) 2 or CaO.
