Abstract
1479741 Containers; eg of moulded plastics material H F HEFENDEHL 16 Sept 1974 [2 Oct 1973 23 July 1974] 40171/74 Heading B8P In a container which consists of two or more wall portions having mating edges which provide push-fit junctions there-between, the mating edges of the walls comprise two adjacent, parallel rows of tongues 1a, 1b respectively, separated by recesses 2a, (2b, not shown) respectively, each of the recesses having a contour shaped to fit exactly the contour of a tongue on the mating edge of the wall portion with which it is joined. The container shown comprises six wall portions 101, 102 &c., but containers may comprise, e.g. two wall portions, for example two cylindrical portions (Fig. 1, not shown) or two dish-shaped portions (Fig. 3, not shown). Latching means 8 may be provided on the inner faces of the tongues, e.g. a projection on each of one row of tongues and a mating recess on each of the other row of tongues, to provide a releasable connection between adjacent wall portions which are push fitted together. The wall portions may be formed of moulded plastics material.
