1476527 Testing dynamo-electric machines ELEKTROGERATEWERK SUHL VEB 2 Oct 1974 42722/74 Heading G1U Arcing between a brush 2 and the commutator 3 of a dynamo-electric machine is detected by a light guide 5, a photo-electric element 6, and amplifier 6 tuned to the expected spark frequency, an integrator 7, and a meter 8. By using a tuned amplifier the effect of background light is eliminated.
