Abstract

1476368 Polyester curing catalyst VIANOVA KUNSTHARZ AG 9 Aug 1974 [13 Aug 1973] 35259/74 Heading C3P Unsaturated polyesters are cured in the presence of a cobalt compound and a hydroperoxide and a mixture of (a) a cyclopentanone derivative of the formula in which X is acyl, carbamoyl, cyano or carboxylic ester and (b) a tertiary amine of the formula NZYY<SP>1</SP> in which Z is aryl which may be substituted, and Y and Y<SP>1</SP> are alkyl or hydroxyalkyl. The additives accelerate cure and also increase storage stability in the absence of initiator.
