Abstract

1476075 Method of making gloves T W BARLOW 15 Nov 1975 47166/75 Heading A3V A process for the manufacture of a glove comprises the steps of coating an unsupported knitted fabric with a foamed coating of nitrole-based polymer, p.v.c. and soap, placing the coated surfaces after curing in contact, welding a seam in the shape of an open hand, cutting the seam and cutting across the wrist portion, turning the product inside out and dipping it on a former into a liquid plastics or rubber material and curing it. The knitted fabric has a weight of about 4 ounces sq. yard. A section of the final product is shown in Fig. 9.
