1473570 Hinges H B S ALBERTSSON 23 July 1974 32519/74 Heading E2F In a window assembly, comprising a casement 2 pivotally mounted in a frame 3, the casement 2 pivots about a horizontal axis, hinge means are fixed to one side 4 member of the casement 2 and one side member 5 of the frame 3 such that each hinge consists of two parts located side-by-side and connected together by a hinge pin 6, and the hinge part 8 fixed to the window frame 5 has a bent section 15 in the shape of an inverted U which is adapted to cover a similarly formed section 16 of the hinge part 7 fixed to the side member 4 of the casement 2. Aluminium cover plates 10, 11 are provided on the window frame 3 and the casement side member and are arranged to overlap at the region of the hinges.
