Abstract

1473566 Measuring fluid flow-rate electrically F LLI SANDRETTO SAS 15 July 1974 [3 Jan 1974] 31195/74 Heading G1N [Also in Division G3] In a control arrangement for regulating the volume flow-rate of hydraulic fluid in a hydraulic circuit of injection moulding machines, (see heading G3R), the flow-rate is measured by a transducer as shown Fig. 2. The transducer comprises a hydraulic motor, gears 27 of which are rotated by fluid flowing in a pipe 4. Movement of the gear teeth past a pin 30 of magnetic material in a magnetic circuit, including a core 33 carrying a D.C. energized primary winding 36, varies the reluctance of the circuit. This results in a series of pulses from a secondary winding 37, the frequency of which is a function of the fluid flow-rate.
