Abstract

147,298. Withers, W. April 22, 1919. Staiths and elevated structures; storage chambers, emptying from below.-Comprises a bunker system for blast furnaces &c., in which a series of bunkers 1 having inclined walls 5 and partitions 7 is arranged above a single line of rails 8 and is fed by trucks running on a number of tracks 10 above the bunkers. The bunkers discharge through rotary valves or doors 12, Fig. 6, into trucks running on the rails 8, these trucks passing to the furnaces by inclined rails provided in a structure C.
