Abstract
1471985 Channel track installation ROTAFLEX (GREAT BRITAIN) Ltd 2 July 1974 [6 July 1973(2)] 29370/74 Heading H2E An electrical current supply installation of the continuous outlet type comprises a channelshaped track member in which are mounted a plurality of insulated conductors extending longitudinally of the track and accessible from the interior of the channel and a plurality of adaptors insertable in the channel and having contact fingers engageable with respective conductors wherein at least some of the conductors are connected to an electrical information signal supply circuit, such as an audio signal supply. In one embodiment, two audio signals A 1 , A 2 are fed via respective conductors 14, 16 to fingers 21, 22 and selected by switch 28. The adapter 20 has a block 33 to prevent incorrect insertion. Conductors 17, 19 are connected to a power supply. The track may contain only two conductors or as many as seven. The conductors may be used for two power sources together with a stereo audio channel. Alternatively four audio channels or an intercom channel may be provided optionally with multiplexed signals. Three-phase power can be supplied through the tracks. Microphones may be used on the tracks to give a surveillance system.
