1471538 Insulating and screening cable joints BICC Ltd 5 Nov 1974 [6 Nov 1973] 51550/73 Heading H2E A high voltage cable joint comprises a plastics enclosure 24 within which a foraminous metal screen 17 surrounds the actual joint, the screen being spaced from and supported on the cable armouring by conductive supports 13. Additional insulating supports 6 may be provided between the cores and screen. The completed joint is filled with a cold curing resin.
