Abstract
1471098 Light communication cables FURUKAWA ELECTRIC CO Ltd 27 Nov 1975 [11 Dec 1974] 48875/75 Heading G2J A light communication cable comprises a plurality of intertwisted units 3 each of which includes a plurality of optical fibres 1 laid in parallel and loosely covered by an inner sheath 2, the intertwisted units 3 being covered by an outer sheath 5. A tension member may be inclined in each unit 3 or positioned between the units Figs. 5, 6, (not shown). The outer sheath 5 is laminated and includes an electrically conducting layer.
