Abstract

1470327 Spray carburetters COLT INDUSTRIES OPERATING CORP 8 April 1974 15461/74 Heading F1H The flow of additional fuel from a chamber 34 to the induction passage 14 is controlled by a valve 120 operated by bi-metal coil 130 and manual means 160 and the pressure difference causing the fuel flow is dependent upon the volume rate of air-flow through the induction passage. A plate 54 which defines a variable Venturi with the passage wall 52 is operable cojointly with the throttle valve 28. Needles 82 and 112 pinned to the plate 54 control fuel flow to the main outlet 50 and air-flow into the chamber 102 downstream of the additional fuel metering orifice 104. The main and additional fuel outlets 50 and 110 are located at or immediately downstream of the throat of the variable Venturi to be subject to the same vacuum.
