Abstract

1470298 Elastomeric sleeves; seals; grommets TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L M ERICSSON 15 May 1974 [15 May 1973] 21655/74 Headings F2S F2B and F2H A resilient sealing bush, or a method of installing a bush, the bush comprising a first part 10, 11 for engagement with a support, a sleeve 12 extending from the first part 10, 11, and including a free end portion 13 and between the end portion 13 and the first part 10, 11 a central portion spaced, further from the axis of the bush than is the end portion 13. The method involves rolling the end portion 13 into the central portion using either the elongate member 31 which is to be supported by the bush, Fig. 5, or a hollow, tapered tool 130, Fig. 13 (not shown). Figs. 6-10 (not shown) illustrate another embodiment of the bush which has a collar 61 and an internal groove 62 to assist locking and sealing.
