Abstract
1470033 Dispersion of a silver halide developing agent FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 9 Jan 1975 [11 Jan 1974] 1021/75 Heading C3R [Also in Division G2] A dispersion of a silver halide developing agent which is a dye-developer and/or a colourless polyhydroxy benzene comprises a hydrophilic organic colloid which has dispersed therein a water-insoluble organic solvent which has dissolved therein a polyester and the silver halide developing agent. The dispersion may contain a surface active agent. The examples describe (1) dispersions wherein (a) the polyester is derived from adipic or sebacic acids with one or more of the following: 1,4-butanediol, neopentyl glycol, 1,6-hexanediol, ethylene glycol and propylene glycol, (b) the organic colloid is gelatin, (c) the organic solvent is cyclohexanone or a mixture of tricresyl phosphate and ethyl acetate and (d) the dye-developer is as defined in Examples 1 and 6 and 4<SP>1</SP>-methylphenyl-hydroquinone; and (2) coating the dispersions on a cellulose triacetate support.
