Abstract

1469455 Cylinder locks NEIMAN SA 21 May 1974 [22 May 1973] 22505/74 Heading E2A In a cylinder lock levers 16 pivoted on and housed in slots 3" of a rotor 9 are moved collectively and radially inwardly by a resilient ring 17 to a locking position by engagement of the lever in the grooves 3' in the rotor to prevent rotation thereof. A key 8 having a flat 7' for cooperation with a co-acting surface 10 in the rotor has notches into which the lever noses 21 are engageable thereby disengaging the grooves 3' to enable the rotor 9 to be turned by the key. Use of a key having notches of insufficient depth causes the lever to move radially outwardly into grooves 3 in the lock casing whereby the rotor is rendered immovable.
